Approved for Zangersheide Wietvot, the internationally successful Grand Prix stallion under the new name Lansdowne, is the spitting image of his famous father Guidam. A strong body, musculour, excessive power and a lot of elasticity and athletic ability. Wietvot has a very strong canter and a good walk. Wietvot’s mother Ivory (by Wolfgang) was a successful showjumper at medium tour level in the United States of America. Her body, speed and responsiveness, combined with the powerful super athlete Guidam brought parents’ pride: Wietvot. Wietvot was selected for the 70-day test of the KWPN, but he was all too smart and strong and he was sent home. The chestnut shows olympic qualities at top sport level. He debuted internationally with Steven Veldhuis. Early 2011 he came into the hands of Grand Prix rider Conor Swail, who calls him a ‘world-class horse’. In July 2013 they won the 400.000 dollar Pan American Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows.
