In the beautiful atmosphere of Jumping Amsterdam 2023, Carambole bid farewell to his impressive sports career. The phenomenal stallion, who, together with Willem Greve, was responsible for many beautiful sporting moments, can now enjoy his well-deserved retirement. Grand Prix victories, such as those at Jumping Amsterdam in 2015 and winning the Nations Cup final in Barcelona in 2021, are etched in the memory of every equestrian enthusiast. The list of triumphs also includes the Grand Prix of Knokke, Drachten, Hardelot, and Wierden. A fantastic fourth place during the GCT in Valkenswaard in 2020 showcased his absolute world-class performance. Several times, Carambole was a crucial pillar in the Dutch Team, including in Rotterdam, Falsterbo, La Baule, and Copenhagen.

For breeding, the Cassini I son will, of course, remain available. Various offspring of Carambole already demonstrate that they are cut from the same cloth as their father. For example, Hello Senator under Scott Brash (dam’s sire: Indoctro) won the Grand Prix of St. Tropez and finished second in the Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva. Hello Senator is not the only offspring at the highest level; Evita (Georgia Tame), Elien (Katharina Offel), Elina (Charles Luyckx), Fecybelle (Karl Cook), Fyolieta (Michael Greeve), Hesjedal NL (Erika Lickhammer), Flambeau (Harry Marshall), Formidable (Willem Greve), and Frasier (Dennis van den Brink) are also 1.60 qualified. An emerging talent is Cote d’Or Z, catching attention in young horse competitions under Dirk Demeersman. Similarly, Quantum Robin V, ridden by Max Kuehner, who operates at the 1.55-meter level, showcasing another high-performing offspring of Carambole.

Because Carambole has meant a lot for Dutch show jumping, being the sire of both approved sons and a whole slew of international show jumpers, the KWPN has decided to declare him preferent! Carambole has a magnificent presence with fantastic gaits and remarkable rideability. Therefore, he is a highly valuable addition to your breeding program.
