Oosterbuur is a descendant of the KWPN stallion Etoulon VDL. The dam Coletta is self-ridden at 1.30m level. She is a daughter of the stallion Cornado NRW, the stallion that achieved many successes at five-star level with Marcus Ehning. Coletta’s dam is the mare Pasadena, a daughter of the influential Westphalian stallion Polydor. With Lancer II, Pasadena gave the gelding Landor, who ran at 1.50m level with Canadian Jay Hayes. She also gave the 1.45m horses Baumann’s Cicero (s.Cento), ridden by Shari Zey, and Quibelle 29 (s.Quipeggio), by Amelie Koppenberg.

Through her daughter Hera (s.Heraldik), she is also the granddam of Coconut 49 (s.Comme il Faut), who performs at 1.50m level with Debby Sterzenbach, and Baumann’s Cartani (s.Catoki), who competes at 1.45m level with Veronika Müller. The dam’s line traces back to a Hanoverian line, which includes the KWPN and Holstein-approved stallion Polydox (s.Polydor).
